The eight compositions on this disc wonderfully interweave the natural sounds from a variety of habitats in Costa Rica with music that paints the moods and emotions those places evoke. Drawing on the sounds of indigenous musical instruments from around the world, along with those of more traditional instruments, composer Kevin Gerzevitz has created a genre defying collection of musical compositions that surpasses in depth and complexity what usually goes by the name new age.
